FREE Alumni Workshop August 4th

Looking for a career at Chabot? We welcome all Chabot College alumni and friends to join us for a special alumni workshop called "How do I get a job at Chabot?" on Thursday, August 4th from 5:00- 6:00 P.M., online via Zoom.
|

This workshop will explore:

What is it like to work at Chabot College: Culture, atmosphere, Chabot's mission, etc.

The specifics on the unique hiring process at Chabot College: Application process, interview process, tips, suggestions, etc.
-
The diversity of positions at Chabot: Reviewing the kinds of jobs available and understanding the differences between classified professionals, faculty, admin, and the different departments and divisions.

Talk to Chabot 360: Meet Chabot employees who were former students.

Chabot College Summer Youth Programs:
Murals for Social Justice
|
|
This summer, Hayward Promise Neighborhoods students created five murals at Eden Youth and Family Center (EYFC) with instruction and supplies provided by Graffiti Camp for Girls. Given the construction of the Stack Center and subsequent demolition of the EFYC building, this was a unique opportunity for students to both design and implement the murals.
|
|
Each mural centers around a word, which students selected and designed around and within. Two of the murals were part of identity-based summer camps, Chavez Chicxs and Camp Parwana, which provide culturally empowering programming for Latinx and Afghan American students respectively. All of the students within the program learned numerous spray paint techniques, worked collaboratively with one another, and bolstered their social emotional learning capacities.

Save the date! On Thursday, October 6th, from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M., The Friends of Chabot College invites you to the 8th Annual Gala fundraiser.
Join us for a beautiful evening at TPC Stonebrae for dinner, wine, entertainment, and auction activities to raise funds for Chabot College students and programs. We will be honoring:

- Ms. Irma Torres-Fitzsimons, HUSD Burbank Elementary Principal
- HMC Architects Designing Futures Foundation
