Session One: Using Software to Conduct Comprehensive and Systematic Qualitative Data Analysis
Whether your research project is a large-scale broad analysis or a focused deep dive, a solo endeavor, or a collaborative team effort, possessing a tool where you can organize, analyze, visualize, and present your findings is invaluable to you or your team’s success. Over the course of two sessions, we will explore what makes MAXQDA a world-leading tool for qualitative and mixed methods analysis. In the first session, we’ll walk through the fundamentals of MAXQDA and cover topics like these to name a few:

- Organizing Data and Analysis
- Qualitative Coding Basics
Session Two: In-depth Insights into MAXQDA
MAXQDA can help you keep your analysis organized via the Questions, Themes, and Theories Workspace. MAXQDA’s Visual Tools can help you create exploratory and explanatory visualizations.
About Joel
Joel Drevlow is a qualitative and mixed methods research consultant and trainer and MAXQDA Cooperation Partner. He holds a Master’s in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where he studied International Education Policy. His research interests include issues of trust and relationship-building in educational organizations and the facilitation of team-based qualitative data analysis. Prior to establishing his own consultancy, he worked with the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Division of Extension as a data analyst and trainer.
