ICE Statement

The Midway Chamber of Commerce believes immigrants are essential to our communities and we stand with employees, employers, and neighbors as they confront unreasonably aggressive enforcement tactics of federal immigration enforcement agencies. We urge Midway business owners to educate themselves and their employees about their rights and stand ready to assist in that effort. We call on elected officials to enact a national immigration policy that unites rather than divides and ask officials treat people with respect and dignity.  

THC Statement

The Midway Chamber of Commerce recognizes the promise and importance of the THC industry to our economy and opposes the new federal law that hinders the growth of this industry. Stifling federal laws designed to cripple the THC industry will result in job losses and business closures throughout Minnesota and the United States. We stand by the THC industry.

Dual Citizen Brewing Company Names Every Meal as January 2026 Dual Purpose Partner

Dual Citizen Brewing Company is pleased to announce Every Meal as it’s January 2026 Dual Purpose Partner. Through the brewery’s Dual Purpose program, Dual Citizen highlights and supports nonprofit organizations that are creating meaningful impact across the Twin Cities. 

Every Meal is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2010 with a mission to fight child hunger. Evey Meal focuses on filling the food gaps children face, especially on weekends when they’re not able to eat school meals. Through their primary Weekend Meal Program, children in Pre-K through 8th grade experiencing food insecurity receive weekend food bags directly and discreetly in their backpacks at about 375 schools across Minnesota.  

As part of the January partnership, Dual Citizen will host Every Meal on Friday, January 23rd. This family-friendly event will feature OPPS! All Sound Rounds 2000s edition Volume 3, hosted by Trivia Mafia, and activities designed to bring together guests of all ages and help raise funds in times of need. Event starting at 6pm with Trivia getting going at 7pm! Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with Every Meal, learn more about its mission, and enjoy an evening of community celebration! Golden Thyme Restaurant & Bar offers a more formal dining experience. Their menu takes its cues from the Selby Avenue JazzFest—it’s New Orleans-style dining, Southern classics with contemporary flair. The menu is being overseen by overseen by executive chef Adam Randall (Caribbean Smokehouse, Granite City), a longtime Rondo resident. The restaurant is decorated in complimentary color schemes of gold and rich greens, and both feel modern and comfortable at the same time.

On June 14, Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, survived a targeted act of violence in their home that forever changed their lives. That same night, Minnesota lost Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, in a devastating attack. In this deeply personal keynote, Senator Hoffman reflects on survival, recovery, and how trauma reshaped his understanding of leadership, resilience, and public service. This is a story not only of endurance, but of renewed purpose, clarity, and commitment to community.

The Revitalization of Downtown Saint Paul

Join us for a focused discussion on downtown revitalization in Saint Paul—where things stand today and what’s ahead. Attendees will hear updates on the development and early implementation of the Downtown Investment Strategy, the launch of the Downtown Development Corporation, and the recent expansion of the Downtown Improvement District and its implications for public safety outcomes and perceptions. The program will also include key takeaways from the InterCity Leadership Visit to Detroit and the inspiration it brought back to inform local efforts.

For more than two decades, Joe Spencer has engineered growth and vitality in downtown Saint Paul. As the first president of the Saint Paul Downtown Alliance, Joe works across public and private sectors to build a strong, vibrant downtown and create a positive experience for visitors, residents, and workers alike. Under his leadership, the Downtown Alliance has created the Downtown Investment Strategy to align public and private investment priorities, partnered with property owners to establish the Saint Paul Downtown Improvement District and its clean and safe services, founded the Downtown Development Corporation to advance catalytic development projects, and activated the streets with hundreds of free events, public art installations, and more.
