OUR EVENING'S WINES HOSTED BY

Azienda Agricola Romanelli was founded in 1978 in Montefalco, in the heart of Umbria’s most important wine region. The family-run farm has been cultivating 30 hectares of property, 8 of vineyards and 12 of olive groves, on Colle San Clemente for more than 40 years, entirely organically.

The story of our wine begins in Montefalco: a land devoted to viticulture for centuries

From this hill not far from the town there is an amazing panorama ringed by vines and olive trees on one side, carved by the valley on the other. The sun exposure and mild climate make this the perfect place to practice sustainable viticulture and maintain the typical balances of the Montefalco area.

A three-generation history - Since the late 1970s, the Romanelli family has been passionately cultivating its bond with the territory of Montefalco and its fruits. A history whose roots go back in time and whose branches are always ready for new projects to blossom.

It was 1978 when Amedeo and Costantino Romanelli, father and son, chose to devote themselves to agriculture, founding a farm in the heart of Umbria, in Montefalco’s Colle San Clemente. Alongside them are their wives Anna Maria and Anna Rita and sons Devis and Fabio who grew up in close contact with nature. For more than 40 years, the bond with the land has blended with family ties, resulting in unique and inimitable products. Today, three generations combine their know-how and personalities to run the farm's business with passion.

MEET OUR SPECIAL GUEST

DEVIS ROMANELLI

Owner/Winwmaker

Born and raised on the family farm, entered University to study economics but his bond with the land was too strong and so he decided to return to his origins. While always have some vineyards and oil groves, the family farm had been devoted to livestock farming. In 2003 together with his father he planted the new vineyards and in 2007 at the age of 24 he produced his first wines. Today the Romanelli farm produces wine and olive oil and the whole family is involved alongside Devis in the production of these wonderful products that come from the splendid territory of Montefalco in Umbria. Organic, sustainable farming and a deft touch in the cellar make these some of the most elegant expressions of Sagrantino-based wines.

Family Owned & Operated Since 2008 - Proudly Brought to You by the Funkey Family

Our journey began with a deep love for the city that raised us—Chicago.

I’m Joe, and together with my wife Sue and our kids Donovan, Kimberleigh, and Jordan, we set out to bring a taste of the Windy City to the Heart of the Desert.

It feels like just yesterday we opened the doors to our first cozy pizzeria in Cathedral City, the Original Giuseppes Pizza & Pasta. It was small, friendly, and full of heart. Our goal was simple: to share the comforting flavors of authentic Chicago-style pizza and Italian favorites with a community we were proud to call home.

From the start, our mission has been to create more than just a restaurant. We wanted a place where great food, warm service, and a welcoming atmosphere came together where locals and visitors alike could gather, connect, and make memories over meals worth sharing.

As word spread and our little pizzeria filled every night with returning and new happy faces, we knew it was time to grow. We expanded to Palm Springs as Giuseppes Pizzeria Palm Springs, where guests could enjoy our great food with stunning views of the San Jacinto Mountains.

And now, we’re thrilled to welcome you to our newest and most exciting chapter yet—Giuseppes Restaurant and Pizzeria at Shadow Ridge, located inside the beautiful Marriott Shadow Ridge Vacation Club in Palm Desert.

Whether you’re dining indoors or relaxing on our patio overlooking the lush greens of Shadow Ridge Golf Club, we invite you to savor every bite and every moment. Our team is here to make your visit memorable—with heartfelt hospitality and dishes made with love.

After years of serving our community and seeing countless happy bellies and smiling faces,

we’ve renewed our mission with an even greater purpose:

Our Mission

To Serve Great Food & Great Service—at a Fair Price

From our family and our entire team—to yours,

Thank you for being our guest. We’re honored to have you at our table.

BENEFITS AND CELEBRATES

Who do you think of when you hear, "The community's first classroom?"

For almost three decades, The Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert, a non-profit, has been a place where kids and their families come to experience the joy of learning about themselves and the world around them through hands-on exhibits and programs.

For many, the Museum is the first opportunity to learn outside of the home, engage with other children, and learn social skills that will help them as they navigate school and other aspects of their lives.

CDMoD is a Certified Autism Center with a focus on accessibility and inclusion for all. We have resources such as headphones, communication cards, fidget toys, automatic doors and even a Sensory Room so that families can plan for their very best visit with us.

The Museum features varied programming that includes Art, STEM, Music and Movement, Sensory Play and much more. They host field trips, camps, birthday parties and special events and even bring programming to the community. The Museum's hours are Monday-Saturday 10am to 5pm. We have daily admission and annual memberships as well as several donor opportunities to support the Museum.
