San Francisco's APEC 2023 signifies pivotal U.S. engagement. The Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs, Camille P. Dawson, met with Harbir K. Bhatia, SVC Chamber CEO, last week to explore options for economic development and Sister City International relationships based on the 7 for 70 initiative, the State Department's directive for the Pacific Islands. Since Harbir also serves on the National Board of Sister Cities International and the NorCal Board. | |
Serbian Ambassador Visits Chamber For APEC Week | | |

We were privileged to host H.E. Mr. Marko Djuric, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in the United States of America, at the Silicon Valley Central Chamber (SVCCC) to engage in discussions concerning investments and mutual economic advancements in Silicon Valley. During the visit, Mr. Djuric, accompanied by Minister Counselor Nebojsa Radojicic and Counselor Tijana Borisavljevic, met with SVCCC CEO Harbir Bhatia, Board members Elnaz Masoom, Joe Siecinski, Mike Wallace, and Diana Weiping Ding, alongside Franchesca Lacanlale. Additionally, Phil Tucker and Madison Watkins from Congressman Eric Swalwell's office were also present.
