Tell Congress: No One Should Go Hungry

Right now, Congress is making important decisions about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)—including decisions that could lock in the cuts made to SNAP last year.

This means that now, it’s as important as ever to make sure your representatives know where you stand on SNAP! Through The Arc US, you can contact your representatives with a message stating your support for SNAP and urging lawmakers to protect and strengthen the program, including by reversing previous cuts.

Take action! If you’d like to contact Congress, you can click here to send your message.

Free Webinar: Learn About Ticket to Work

You may have heard of the Ticket to Work program or Work Incentives—which help adults with disabilities transition into the workforce and gain financial independence, without facing an immediate impact to certain benefits. If you’re looking for more information about this program, you can sign up for Work Incentive Seminar Events (WISE) held by the Social Security Administration (SSA)!

WISE events are webinars held for people who are age 18 through 64 and receive Social Security Disability benefits. At each online event, you'll learn about the Ticket to Work Program and available Work Incentives through accessible learning opportunities.

The next WISE webinar will be May 27th at 1:00pm Mountain Time. Register or learn more here.

The SSA typically holds one WISE webinar each month, on the fourth Wednesday of the month—so if you cannot attend this time, be sure to check back next month for future opportunities.
