The Ontario Disability Employment Network (ODEN) invites you to join us for the official launch of the David C. Onley Inclusive Employment Gallery, designed to honour his legacy and commitment to the citizens of Ontario. His advocacy for inclusive employment is an example and call to action for all – citizens, employers, educators, and legislators – to continue to build an accessible province that enables all to reach their full potential in work.

In 2007 David Onley was appointed Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, serving until 2014. As the province's first Lieutenant Governor with a disability, he adopted accessibility as the overarching theme of his mandate. He defined accessibility as “that which enables people to achieve their full potential”, believing that true accessibility occurs when disabled people can fully participate in the social, cultural, and economic life of Ontario.
