Message from the Executive Director

Spring is here, and so is a season of exciting events and engagement opportunities!

Inspired by the fantastic input of our Programs and Communications Action Committee (PAC), we’re excited for our next Cleantech Catalyst on Thursday, April 18. Our panel of experts will share spark talks focused on “Accelerating Fleet Electrification,” a key part of North Carolina’s decarbonization journey. Join us for insightful presentations and, of course, plenty of time to connect with favorite cleantech colleagues. The connections made at these events are remarkable – you never know what might spark your next collaboration!

Then, you’ll then see more of RTCC and our members at the State Energy Conference of North Carolina coming up April 23 - 24. We've curated five innovation-packed panels that you won't want to miss. Registration is still open!

In this season of renewal, we at RTCC are excited to bring you new and exciting programs and ways to connect. We encourage you to share your thoughts on potential topics by filling out this quick survey.

Let's make this spring a season of growth and collaboration!

- Dr. Deb Wojcik

RTCC Grid Resilience Panel at UNC Cleantech Summit

It was a pleasure to organize and moderate a panel focused on grid resilience at the UNC Cleantech Summit.

Thank you to our wonderful panelists Catherine Stempien from Avangrid, Joshua Kmiec from ScottMadden and Duncan Burt from Reactive Technologies!

Roundtable with U.S. DOE

RTCC had the pleasure of organizing a roundtable conversation for David Turk, Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), prior to his keynote address at the UNC Cleantech Summit.

Participants enjoyed an excellent dialogue around U.S. DOE programs and the tremendous impact the IIJA, IRA, and CHIPS Act have had on North Carolina and the United States.

Thank you to representatives from ABB, Duke Energy, Hitachi Energy, NC Clean Energy Technology Center, and RTI International for joining the conversation and to Deputy Director Turk for his time.
