Dear RTFH Family,
Studying for their B’nai Mitzvah is a challenge for any emerging young adult. Hebrew is a tough language, and leading services from the bimah is intimidating. All our students shine through hard work, excellent teachers, and supportive families.
At RTFH, we commit to enabling every young adult to thrive at their service regardless of special needs. This Friday, during our annual Helen Keller Shabbat of Accessibility, Inclusion, and Empowerment, we will hear from students with diverse challenges who found paths to success. Inspired by the legacy of Helen Keller, who once lived on the same property where RTFH stands today, we strive to help everyone find access and joy in their Jewish life.
L’shalom,
Rabbi Mark

New Video Intercom at RTFH
I am excited to announce the implementation of our new video intercom system. This extremely intuitive system will allow greater accessibility to our Temple, enhance the safety and security of our building occupants by screening all incoming visitors, and dramatically improve interoffice communications. This security upgrade was made possible by the continued support and generosity of our valued congregants.
To gain access to our building, please press the button on the video camera/keypad located adjacent to the rightmost door of the main entrance, and a staff member will unlock the door. If you have any questions about using our new video intercom system, please feel free to call me at 718-261-2900 or email me at allan@rtfh.org.
Kind regards,
Allan Hoberman
Director of Operations & Finance

Join us on Sunday, March 15 at 2:00pm at RTFH, for a screening of TORN: The Israel-Palestine Poster War.
Featuring artists, activists, students, rabbis, and hostage families, TORN is an unflinching portrait of empathy under siege. After Hamas kidnapped 251 people from Israel on October 7, a conflict thousands of miles away erupted on New York’s walls. The film captures the emotional fallout of the “KIDNAPPED” poster campaign – a grassroots act that became a flashpoint, igniting fierce confrontations between pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian New Yorkers.
Screening includes a discussion with filmmaker Nim Shapira.
