A Message from Cantor

This past Sunday, we joined together with our faith-based neighborhood congregations to celebrate a wonderful and heartfelt Interfaith Thanksgiving service, which was followed by a lovely spread of food prepared by our hardworking staff and volunteers. Throughout our time of prayer together, there were moments of quiet and introspection, as we listened to inspiring words from our own and from neighboring clergy.

There were moments of beauty when our adult and children’s choirs sang together with the other choirs. And there were moments of sheer joy, when the voices of the choirs mingled with the voices of those in the pews to create a true Kehillah Kedosha – a combined and united holy congregation. Looking towards this week’s parasha, Vayetze, it was as if we could hear the words of Jacob waking up from his dreams: אָכֵן יֵשׁ יְהֹוָה בַּמָּקוֹם הַזֶּה

“Achein yesh Adonai bamakom hazeh”: “Surely God is in this place.”

Dear RTFH Community,

I would like to provide a brief clarification to my earlier message. After further review with our IT company, Progressive Consulting, we confirmed that there was no hack or breach of any Temple email account. The message that some congregants received was a common phishing email sent from an external Gmail address impersonating the Cantor. Our systems were not accessed, and there is no cause for concern.

If you received the message, simply delete it. There is nothing further you need to do at this time.

Thank you for your understanding, and please feel free to reach out if you ever receive an email that seems suspicious.
