Dear RTFH Family,

What better way to end the school year than a full-out celebration this Friday at Shabbat

Reshon at 6:15pm (please note the early time!).

Four of our incredible 12th graders, who have grown up in our temple and have been

deeply involved in our community, will share reflections as they prepare to head to

college. Mazel tov to Evan Birnbaum, CJ Cabonargi, Layla Keltai, Alyssa Lazarus, and

their families.

Our service will be led by every grade from our religious school, along with our amazing Junior Choir. Shai Cohen, a current 5th grader, will be our “Rabbi for the Day” (with support from Cantor Emily and me).

Join us for services—and don't forget to sign up for the Shabbat Reshon Dinner to keep the joy going!

Join our 12th Graders for RTFH graduation, along with all our grades, the Junior Choir, and “Rabbi for the Day” Shai Cohen for Shabbat Services, food, conversation, and fun times!

Service starts at 6:15 pm. A delicious Italian dinner and dessert to follow in the ballroom.

Rep. Grace Meng to Speak at Shabbat

Friday, June 26 at 7pm

Congresswoman Grace Meng will join us for Shabbat services to speak about antisemitism today, including the rise of hate against Jews in New York City. This is a special opportunity to hear directly from our local House representative about an issue of critical importance to our community.

Help Make Sukkot 2026 More Special!

This fall, we are seeking to create a series of small, home-based Sukkot gatherings hosted by RTFH members in apartments, homes, or public spaces. Some gatherings may center on meals, music, storytelling, and discussion on Sukkot. Some may be family-oriented, others quieter and more reflective.

We are currently seeking:

• Volunteers to help organize the project
• Members who may be willing to host an event in their house or apartment
• People with creative ideas for themes or activities

Adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah in 2026!

Did you never have a Bar or Bat Mitzvah when you were a kid?

Did you have one but didn’t read Torah or lead the service and want a redo? Do you want to be part of engaging community learning with Rabbi, Cantor, Rabbinic Intern Jules, and more?

Sign up for Adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah for 2026-2027. Classes will be on Sunday morning during Religious School with the service on October 2027. Email Rabbi Mark Kaiserman at rabbikaiserman@rtfh.org if you want to be part of the learning and joy!
