Message From Rabbi

Dear RTFH Family,

We rightfully dedicate a great deal of energy to celebrating with our 13-year-olds and their families. While a B’nai Mitzvah marks a beautiful beginning, 10th-grade Confirmation offers something different: the opportunity to explore the complexities, challenges, and joys of Jewish life with the sophistication that comes with the path toward adulthood.

Meeting weekly with these students is a highlight of my year. I hope they find our sessions as meaningful as I do; their energy, wit, and wisdom teach me something new every time we gather.

On Thursday, May 21 at 7:00pm, we will hold our Confirmation Service as part of our Shavuot Evening services. I invite you to join us to hear from these teen leaders as they share their perspectives and to celebrate this milestone with them and their

families.

Mazel tov to this year’s class: Nava Birnbaum, Winter Krosney, Ruby Macklin, Zeke Siff, Noa Spevack, Maya Waskow, and Hannah Wolman.

L’shalom,

Rabbi Mark

Queens Pride March

We had so much fun when Elana Arian came to RTFH!
We learned new songs and teachings, and young and old sang together with joy.
This was our last big fundraiser of the year, and we are still just a bit shy of our $14,000 goal. If you weren’t there, but you’d like to experience the ruach (spirit), or you’d just like to help keep our Temple strong, consider contributing $18 (or more), and register for the concert as a livestream participant.
Within 24 hours, we will send you a link to the concert (available through May 31). We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
