Dear RTFH Family,
In a world of anxiety, it was a joy for our community to come together for the High Holy Days!
Thanks to so many people who made these days happen. Special appreciation to Cantor Emily Wigod Pincus, who brings talent, creativity, and spirit to every aspect of the High Holy Days. From our exceptional musicians, the adult choir, and the junior choir; the Torah and Haftarah readers, shofar blowers, and all the honors; our teachers at Layperson’s Hour and Yom Kippur study; the ritual committee and the ushers and audio-visual experts; the staff and the board and so many more – the High Holy Days takes an incredible amount of dedication and caring to come together.
Thanks to everyone – and especially to all of you for sharing your voice and soul to our holidays. It is an honor to be part of this community.
All of the services are available on our YouTube Channel, including Rabbi Kaiserman’s sermons and Layperson’s Hour. The Digital Book of Remembrance is also on our website.

Sukkot Evening Services
Wednesday, October 16 at 7:00pm
Bring joy into your Fall Holidays with our inter-generational Sukkot services. We’ll share in song and story for all ages. After services, we’ll enjoy a special Sukkot oneg and a chance to shake the lulav and the etrog under the Sukkah.
Sukkot Morning Services
Thursday, October 17 at 10:30am
Sukkot morning services bring prayer, Torah reading, shaking of the lulav and the etrog, and connecting with the RTFH community in song and connection.
Simchat Torah Evening Services
Wednesday, October 23 at 7:00pm
One of the highlights of the RTFH year! Celebrate Simchat Torah service as we unroll the Torah all the way and read from throughout the Torah with our recent b’nai mitzvah sharing. Consecration with our newest religious schools is part of this joyous evening. We’ll dance with the Torah and bring energy and joy into our lives!
Simchat Torah Morning Services with Yizkor
Thursday, October 23 at 10:30am
Join in the end and the beginning of the Torah at Simchat Torah Morning Services. We will observe Yizkor and remember our loved ones.

Simchat Torah Israel Memorial
This year our celebration of Simchat Torah is marred by the memory of October 7 and all that has ensued since. Do we dance or do we cry?
Please visit the Garden Room on Simchat Torah evening or morning, which will serve as a quiet space to memorialize those lost, pray for the release of those still in captivity, and hope for better days.

For his Mitzvah Project, Billie created Jared Boxes to give to children in hospitals. Jared Boxes originated when a kid named Jared was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumor. He had a backpack full of toys that he brought everywhere and would wonder why others didn’t have their own. His friends and family came together to create a project called the Jared Box Project to help spread kindness in a similar way that he did. More than 1,000,000 Jared Boxes have been delivered to over 500 hospitals across the United States. You can learn more about the Jared Box Project here: https://thejaredbox.org/

Wine & Cheese Night in the Sukkah
(A Parent's Association Sponsored Event, with a little help from their friends at Women's Connection.)
This is a community event, with limited attendance capacity.

"Who Wrote the Bible? with Rabbi Irwin Goldenberg
Saturday, November 2 at 9am
The Bible presents itself as of Divine origin, but most modern scholars regard it as having been written by many different human authors. Join Rabbi Irwin Goldenberg as he shares the arguments of both sides and presents a modern rationale for Jews to regard the Bible as foundational for Judaism.

Each month, a list of Temple members celebrating birthdays is posted to the RTFH Birthday Connection. Simply click on the link, create or login to your Member's Account, and fill out the online form. Women's Connection will send that person a personalized Happy Birthday greeting to everyone who donated in their honor.
