Dear RTFH Family,
Simchat Torah is a time of joy! We dance with our Torah and a great band. This year, we also have Israeli dancing to add to the hakafot. We’ll also celebrate the Consecration of our newest religious school students.
Unrolling the Torah is an amazing Jewish event – and we need you to help carry our Torah! A wonderful service for all ages! Come to Simchat Torah tonight, Wednesday, October 23 at 7:00pm to be part of this fantastic celebration!

Simchat Torah Evening Services
Wednesday, October 23 at 7:00pm
One of the highlights of the RTFH year! Celebrate Simchat Torah service as we unroll the Torah all the way and read from throughout the Torah with our recent b’nai mitzvah sharing. Consecration with our newest religious schools is part of this joyous evening. We’ll dance with the Torah and bring energy and joy into our lives!
Simchat Torah Morning Services with Yizkor
Thursday, October 23 at 10:30am
Join in the end and the beginning of the Torah at Simchat Torah Morning Services. We will observe Yizkor and remember our loved ones.

Simchat Torah Israel Memorial
This year, our celebration of Simchat Torah is marred by the memory of Simchat Torah October 7 and all that has ensued since. Do we dance or do we cry?
Please visit the Garden Room on Simchat Torah evening or morning, which will serve as a quiet space to memorialize those lost, pray for the release of those still in captivity, and hope for better days.

It’s the Perfect Time to Join Torah Study
Our Torah Study class completes the Book of Judges this Saturday with a special siyyum (celebration)!
This is the perfect time to add that “10% more Judaism” to your life and join Torah Study on Zoom each Saturday from 9-10 am
October 26 – Siyyum of Judges (In the Garden Room or on Zoom)
November 2 – Who Wrote the Bible? With Rabbi Irwin Goldenberg (In the Sanctuary or on rtfh.org/live)
The Bible presents itself as of Divine origin, but most modern scholars regard it as having been written by many different human authors. Join Rabbi Irwin Goldenberg as he shares the arguments of both sides and presents a modern rationale for Jews to regard the Bible as foundational for Judaism.

Each month, a list of Temple members celebrating birthdays is posted to the RTFH Birthday Connection. Simply click on the link, create or login to your Member's Account, and fill out the online form. Women's Connection will send that person a personalized Happy Birthday greeting to everyone who donated in their honor. At only $1 per greeting, Birthday Connection is an easy way to manage a monthly mitzvah for everyone on your list!
