Together, we donated a record breaking:
-
51 pints of blood—impacting more than 150 lives
- 828 books for under-resourced communities
- 522 toys, plus 41 hand-colored robot cards and inspirational messages, for children living in a homeless shelter
- 325 bagged lunches for the food insecure
- 44 stuffed hearts, 14 stuffed bears, and 6 seat belt cushions, plus knitting and crocheting, for hospitalized children
- 15 bags of clothes, 25 activity kits, 170 yoga and mindfulness flashcards, and 79 hand-colored “Welcome” cards for immigrant schoolchildren
- 50 personal sanitary kits for female students and family members
- 36 care packages for financially insecure community college students
- 87 handwritten cards for our troops
- $223 for The Seeing Eye dog training school
- $218 for LiveOnNY organ donation

Plus, the day featured:
- An engaging talk about the mitzvah of organ donation
- A terrific classroom presentation by our member Karen Eisenstadt and her dog Julep
- Entertaining off-site visits to seniors by the Junior Choir and member Karen Davidowitz’s Violin Youth Concert
- Bagels & coffee and a delicious, homemade community lunch
- Rabbi and Cantor’s closing session filled with song, reflection, and inspiration to do more mitzvot

Each month, a list of Temple members celebrating birthdays is posted to the RTFH Birthday Connection. Simply click on the link, create or login to your Member's Account, and fill out the online form.
