After marching with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at Selma, Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel said, “I felt my legs were praying.” Our words, prayers, and hopes all make a difference. But so is showing up and speaking out.
Join the RTFH Community as we unite with others at the Israel Day on 5th on Sunday, May 18. If you want to march in the parade, contact Cantor Pincus by this Friday at 5:00pm to sign up and get a t-shirt (you cannot march without one). This year, the group will meet at the 71st Street subway stop in front of Starbucks at 11:20am. You can also watch live online.
And join us on Sunday, June 1 for the Queens Pride Parade as we support the LGBTQ+ community and our commitment to each person. RSVP using this link.
Let your legs represent your heart and community. Especially at these times: each of us matters, and everyone must stand up for what they hold dear.

March in the Israel Day Parade!
Sunday, May 18th
This year, RTFH will march with ARZA: the Association of Reform Zionists of America, under the AZM – American Zionist Movement umbrella.
The time that we march is not known until much closer to the date, but will happen sometime between 9 and 4.

Religious School Year-End Picnic in Cunningham Park
Sunday, May 18 at 10:00AM-1:00PM
Celebrate the end of the school year with a picnic at Cunningham Park, featuring grade-specific moving-up ceremonies in the park, lawn games, field relay races, and a BBQ lunch.
RSVP HERE by Sunday, May 11 so we can plan food and activities accordingly.

We’ll hear reports from Temple leadership, vote on Board Members and Officers for the upcoming year, and receive updates on our building plans, finances, and the success of our Torah Project. There will also be time for you to ask questions of our Temple leadership and to share feedback.
