Dear RTFH Family,

With Israel under fire, war raging in the Middle East, and America under strain and conflict, we struggle to find the words to speak to each other and to ourselves.

This is a poem of hope by Rabbi Lisa Silverstein. Our hearts and hope are for safety for those in Israel, for the citizens of the region, and for us all.

L’shalom,

Rabbi Mark

God,

We are frightened.

And so small.

Wrap us in something holy.

In presence.

In protection.

In You.

Hold us all,

but hold most tightly

the wounded. the grieving. the terrified. the taken.

Protect every innocent soul

Jew. Muslim. Christian. Druze.

Bring our hostages home.

And then...

let peace grow wild

in the cracks fear left behind.
