Dear RTFH Family,


The news is a source of stress and worry. So it was wonderful to have a day of positivity.


Yesterday, I visited some of our Temple students attending summer camps. I spent time at Camp Poyntelle, Camp Lohikan, and Camp Zeke in Eastern Pennsylvania. Seeing our kids in their favorite environment and enjoying a huge range of activities (from soccer and lake time to circus and theater) was a delight.


They love camp. The energy, joy, and community they exude gives hope for the years ahead. While right now may bring complicated and challenging news each day, tomorrow is in the hand of our amazing students.

Women’s Connection and the Social Action Team invite you to the third annual Mini Mitzvah Day on Sunday, August 4.


Activities include:


  • Get Out the Vote postcarding party
  • Support Reproductive Rights postcarding writing party
  • Birthday in a Box—Helping children in need celebrate their special day*
  • GotSneakers--Recycling athletic footwear for our planet
  • Days for Girls—Assembling sanitary supplies for girls in the US*
  • Stuffing Hearts —Making hearts to give cheer to patients in a local hospital
  • Warm Up America—Crocheting squares for blankets
  • Jem Life Church in Jamaica—Beading bracelets as gifts for girls
  • Eagles Up!—Card making to send to our troops
  • Seventh Day Adventist Church Food Bank—Sandwich making
  • The Shiloni Project—collecting tzedakah for this Israeli grassroots organization

Twilight Shabbat Outdoors Shabbat Service

Friday, August 9 at 6:15pm


Join us in the backyard of Temple for an outdoor Shabbat service on Friday, August 10 at 6:15pm. If weather is not permitting, we will move the services into the sanctuary.

 Each month, a list of Temple members celebrating birthdays is posted to the RTFH Birthday Connection. Simply click on the link, create or login to your Member's Account, and fill out the online form. Women's Connection will send that person a personalized Happy Birthday greeting to everyone who donated in their honor. At only $1 per greeting, Birthday Connection is an easy way to manage a monthly mitzvah for everyone on your list!
