What can I expect on Christmas Eve at Shadow Rock?

Christmas Eve comes to us on Sunday this year. This means we will have a morning celebration and an evening candlelight service.

At 10:15 AM we will be in Smith Hall because the first church service on this campus 50 years ago was in Smith Hall. This is our last 50th Anniversary observance. The morning will also feature a message from Rev. Gene Lefebvre, our Christmas band, and a celebratory toast for our anniversary.

At 5:00 PM we will be in our sanctuary. The message is about making room in our lives for the gifts of life. We will have music, candle lighting and Silent Night.

Christmas Eve is when we dedicate our offering to the Pastor's Charitable Fund. It is the one time a year we replenish the fund. Our offering for both services will be for the Pastor's Charitable Fund. What is the fund?

This fund is used in time of crisis and has provided groceries, utilities, rent assistance and car repairs. Additionally, the fund has been used to help families bridge a financial gap between periods of employment, thus preventing situations of homelessness. These things are done in the name of Shadow Rock UCC and can only be done because of your support. In every instance we do our best to maximize the stewardship of your support to the Pastor’s Charitable Fund.  You have been generous every year and many people are grateful. Thank You!

Electronic Recycling Happens January 12-14

Put it on your calendars and gather your electronic junk. Your junk is recycled, repurposed, and becomes a great tool for good for someone else. It is also a way to contribute to the health of our planet. Thanks to AZStrut and Tom Mehlert for their work.

Dana Jeffory, member of our WISE Team, shared a powerful WISE moment about his experience with Emotions Anonymous this past Sunday, 12/17. Thank you Dana for sharing your story. Information About EA here.
