Building Bridges of

Inclusion, Justice, and Spirituality

Stand for Children is a non-profit that advocates for children’s education and other equity issues affecting children and families. At their website, they explain, Arizona parents, guardians, teachers, and students were catalysts for change during the 2022 midterm elections. By voting for #EducationChampions we can address the failed leadership that has led to issues with school funding and attacks against our teachers and students. Your support will help us for what’s next. Together, we can make a stronger education landscape in Arizona!

Stand for Children is sponsoring this Town Hall focused on education. This event will feature Judy Schwiebert as a State Representative and House Candidate Stephanie Simacek who’s currently a member of the Deer Valley School Board. This is not an endorsement of any political candidate but a community event for advocating education in Arizona.

No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey,

you are welcome here!

Pastor's Charitable Fund Update

The Pastor's Charitable Fund is the recipient of our Christmas Eve offering. We thank everyone who contributed to the offering. The total amount received was $3.024.00. This year we received the lowest amount to replenish the fund in many years. This may be a glitch or a sign of the times. We do not know so we are leaving the offering open for a few more weeks. Let us know your thoughts. Thanks again!

This fund is used in times of crisis and has provided groceries, utilities, rent assistance, and car repairs. Additionally, the fund has been used to help families bridge a financial gap between periods of employment, thus preventing situations of homelessness. These things are done in the name of Shadow Rock UCC and can only be done because of your support. In every instance, we do our best to maximize the stewardship of your support to the Pastor’s Charitable Fund.  You have been generous every year and many people are grateful. Thank You!

Put it on your calendars and gather your electronic junk. Your junk is recycled, repurposed, and becomes a great tool for good for someone else. It is also a way to contribute to the health of our planet. Thanks to AZStrut and Tom Mehlert for their work.
