BOOKS FROM JANE CARMEAN'S LIBRARY

Books will be on display in the church library this Sunday that belonged to Jane Carmean. These books are for you to take and enjoy.

COFFEE HOUR TREATS

Have you been enjoying a little sweet treat with your coffee after the 10:30 service? Many have and also the social time with each other. We want to continue and expand the personal interaction among our congregation and guests. To achieve this goal, we are asking for your help by providing a treat on a specific date. A sign-up sheet is on the refrigerator in the kitchen.

MONDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY...

...10:00 am, in the Sauter Meeting Room. Together we will explore how we can support one another on our faith journeys over the coming weeks and months.

HALLOWEEN CANDY/COSTUMES

THIS Sunday, September 17, we will begin collecting candy AND new or gently used kids' costumes for Truck or Treat which will take place on Saturday, October 21. Candy/Costumes can be placed in the box located in the church office. Additional details to follow.

CONGO BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP

The book discussion group will meet THIS  Monday, September 18, at 2 pm, in the library. The group will be discussing the bookIt Ends with Us, by Colleen Hoover. Everyone is invited to join the conversation!

HEMLOCK TRAILS WORSHIP SERVICE/LUNCH

As we look forward to fall, one of our big events is the annual service/lunch at Hemlock Trails. The Hemlock Trails Worship Service and Lunch will take place on Sunday, September 24th, at 10:30 am. The Church Life Committee will provide the lunch (hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, baked beans, cole slaw, and dessert). PLEASE BE SURE TO BRING A LAWN CHAIR!!


The Chapel service will be held as usual at 8:30 here at the church.

FCC SOARING GROUP'S NEXT DESTINATION!

We are off to Shelby to visit the desirable Vault patio! See you on Thursday, September 21st at 6 pm. If you haven't joined us before, this would be a great place to get to know us!! Reservations are needed by Tuesday, September 19.

"COFFEE TIME"

Ladies League would like to invite you to join them in Blymyer Hall on the third Thursday of every month, beginning September 21, from 10:00 until 12:00 for a morning break, a cup of coffee or tea, and relaxing conversation among friends. No agenda, no topics of conversation, just a relaxing time together to visit, meet new friends, get to know each other, and a break from routine. Mark your calendars for "Coffee Time" for our FCC version of "just relaxing".

OFFICE NOTICE

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING,

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2023, 

immediately following the 10:30 Worship service. The purpose of the meeting is to approve the 2024 Proposed Church Operating Budget. The agenda will also include a recommendation from the Board of Trustees that the 16 acres across the street from Hemlock be sold at an estimated price of $10,000 per acre. The meeting will take place in the Sanctuary. For those with small children, babysitting will be provided.


Detailed copies of the proposed budget are available in the church office.
