Cinco De Mayo Celebrated at Telesis

Telesis Academy students and staff were surprised with a Cinco De Mayo celebration on Friday with a special performance by Mariachi Santa Monica, (Julio and Angelica Hernandez), parents of Jay (Julia) Hernandez. The mariachis serenaded the students as they walked onto campus and played througout the morning arrival. The crowd was also delighted with dancing from Ricky and Naomi Gonzalez, Nogales HS alum and student (children of Telesis PTO president, Betty Garcia). The event was coordinated by the PTO parents to share and celebrate Mexican culture on this special holiday.
