More than 300 community leaders, RUSD parents, students and staff joined together to celebrate the achievements of the Rowland Unified School District at the 5th State of the Schools event held on November 1.

It was the first time the event was held since 2019 due to the pandemic.

"The State of the Schools historically was a breakfast event for our local business leaders to learn more about the work we do in Rowland Unified," said Superintendent Dr. Mitchell. "It has been so long since we have been able to come together so this year we wanted to share with our larger community the amazing accomplishments of the District and highlight the work our educators and team have been doing to support our students. We were so excited to gather our business leaders, community members, parents, and students together for this special evening and show off as well one of our beautiful modernized schools, Rowland High School."

Secondary school student leaders joined together from Alvarado Intermediate, Giano Intermediate, Nogales High School, Oswalt Academy, Rowland High School, Telesis Academy, Ybarra Academy, and Santana High School to welcome guests as they arrived. Alvarado's AITV and Jellick's JJTV student news teams also interviewed guests. In addition the Rowland High School Orchestra performed and guests enjoyed a delicious catered dinner with special desserts prepared by Rowland High School's culinary arts students.

A special thank you to all that attended this evening and your continued support of the Rowland Unified School District! #WeAre RUSD
