Space Florida at KSC Commits to Another Contract with RUSH Facilities
The new contract to maintain the Space Shuttle Landing Facility includes responsibility for 2,400 acres of developed and non-developed land, the maintenance and operations of 13 buildings and structures, repairs and maintenance of a 15,000 foot runway and runway lighting, grounds maintenance, environmental services, and the airport ground support equipment as required by Space Florida, NASA, FDOT, and FAA requirements.
2019 Junior Achievement of the Space Coast Business Hall of Fame
Earlier this month, RUSH Construction President & CEO William Chivers and Project Manager Ben Thornton attended the 33rd Annual Junior Achievement of The Space Coast Business Hall of Fame. William Chivers gave a speech introducing Bryan and Donna Scott, founders of Barn Light Electric , Playalinda Brewing Co , and Brix Project , just before they were inducted as Laureates.

RUSH Welcomes Jamisyn Unrue, Accounting Clerk
Jamisyn Unrue has worked at RUSH Construction as an Accounting Clerk since January 2019. Working directly with Vice President of Finance David Dapore, and Staff Accountant Ruth Harris, Unrue assists with weekly payables, subcontractor payables, and document acquisition.

A 7th-generation Floridian, Jamisyn attended the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida, and sought out a position at RUSH to expand her accounting expertise in a company with a positive, supportive corporate culture.

“I am excited to join the RUSH team and learn more about the field of accounting. I have had an amazing experience in my first few weeks here,” says Jamisyn. “I love how everyone works together and can have some fun at the same time. I also love the family-like atmosphere.”
