Project Update: Ron Norris Buick/GMC & Honda Dealerships Near Completion
Ron Norris Dealership

This September, RUSH Construction, Inc. expects to complete two new standalone automobile dealerships for Ron Norris, Inc., each equipped with designated customer lounges, business centers, and kid's play areas. The entire 5.5 acre site will also be fully revitalized with new parking, landscaping, storm water collection systems, wet/dry retention ponds, and underground utilities.  Taking size constraints into account, RUSH was able to develop an elaborate phasing plan that would allow the construction of both dealerships simultaneously while keeping the existing dealership open for business.

The two new dealerships include a 15,000 square foot Buick/GMC Dealership (left) and a 20,000 square foot Honda Dealership (right) are being constructed to either side of the existing Ron Norris dealership. Both dealerships will feature high-end finishes for the showroom and customer areas to facilitate a very pleasing customer experience.  Each will also include its own full-service sales, parts, and vehicle service departments.  The service areas will have in-ground and above ground vehicle lifts, air and lube systems, vehicle exhaust extraction systems, and state of the art computer work stations at each service bay.

"Throughout the development of this project, we have found Josh Norris (President of Ron Norris, Inc.) to be highly dedicated to customer service and buyer experience," says RUSH Project Manager, Bobby Jicha. "His investment in these two new dealerships shows a real commitment to strengthening his roots in the North Brevard community, and we admire that."

The Heart of RUSH: Our People
Meet Robbie Gandolfi:

Born and raised in Rockledge, Florida, Robert Gandolfi has worked as Project Superintendent for RUSH Construction since 2003. After graduating high school with Robbie Gandolfi honors, Robbie attended Brevard Community College for 2 years, strictly to please his mother, before following his dream of pursuing a career in construction. He started as a laborer, working his way up the ranks to his goal of superintendent.

"I love my position at RUSH," says Robbie. "In fact, in 1977, I wrote a paper for an English class that was about your dream job. Mine was about being a construction superintendent."
Robbie's passion for construction is truly admirable. When asked about his favorite project to date, he responded that his favorite project is always the one he has just completed. He cites his first day back on the job site after a nearly 2-month recovery from major surgery as his most memorable moment working at RUSH.  "RUSH is the best company I have worked for," says Robbie. "You are not treated as just another employee, but as a valuable member of the team."

An introvert, Gandolfi prefers to spend his free time immersed in a good book. "Military history is my preference, but I'll read almost anything from science fiction to romance." Second to reading, motorcycles are his other love. Robbie has been riding for 39 years, and feels "more comfortable on 2 wheels than 4."

Robbie has two children, each pursuing careers in nursing. His son, Tom (24), is a paramedic for Parrish, and teaches CPR/First Aid at Florida East Coast College. Cati, his daughter (22), works with physically and mentally disabled clients and also attends Florida East Coast College.

Robbie's favorite quote: "The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person who is doing it."  -- Chinese Proverb

"The secret of success is constancy of purpose."
