Hi and welcome to another edition of RV 101 This Month.  For some RV owners February can be a bit dismal. It's extremely cold and in many regions the snow is piled so high you couldn't use your RV if you wanted to. Other RV owners are more fortunate, with milder weather and RV trips scheduled throughout the year. If you can't use your RV but want to keep the RV excitement alive I recommend attending some RV shows this winter. It's a great way to stay current with the RV lifestyle, but be careful or you might end up with a brand new RV for this year's camping season. For those of you lucky enough to use your RV all year happy winter RVing. Enjoy the newsletter, and if you have RV friends and family tell them to  subscribe  and to like us on Facebook. PS don't forget Valentines Day for the special people in your life.  Mark

RV Videos of the Month

When you put your RV in storage it's important that you store it properly so it's ready to use again next camping season.  Watch as host Mark Polk, with RV Education 101, demonstrates his top 5 RV storage tips.

A common repair to RVs is repairing and  resealing RV corner molding. There is a new Corner Seal Kit available that includes everything you need to make these repairs. In this RV how-to video Mark demonstrates resealing corners on and RV.
Last Month's Poll Results
Last month's poll results regarding whether you use or store your RV during cold weather, were interesting. Exactly 50% of those who responded said they use their RV in cold weather and the other 50% said they stored their RV in cold weather.  Our personal experience this winter was we winterized our 5th wheel trailer we keep on our lot at the beach, but we wanted to  use it during the holidays, so I dewinterized it for the time we were there and winterized it again when we left. I guess that puts us right in the middle of the 50/50 poll results. Thanks for participating in our poll.

RV BUZZ Windshield Wiper Tip

Check the condition of your windshield wiper blades on your RV or tow vehicle prior to each trip. This is one of those things we don't think about until the next time we need them.

It's a good idea to periodically clean the wiper blades. You can do this using windshield washer fluid on a clean rag.

The thought of traveling in an RV is great, but how does an RV work? How do you get hot water, cold food and TV when you're in the middle of nowhere? How is it possible to use electricity when you aren't plugged into an electrical source, and what makes the shower work when you aren't even connected to a water source?
That's what this e-book is all about; it answer all of these questions and more about what makes things in and on your RV work.
