Dear Westminster Christian School and Harvest Christian Academy Families,


As we prepare to launch River Valley Christian School this fall, our leadership team, with input from staff, has carefully considered the culture we want to cultivate in our new school community. This collaborative process has helped us set expectations that reflect our mission, values, and commitment to a Christ-centered environment.


Both schools partnering to form River Valley have historically had dress codes, though the expectations between them have been somewhat different. As we bring these two communities together, we felt it was important to establish a unified standard that helps set the tone for the Christ-centered culture we hope to create for our students.


Our mission is to partner with families to raise students who are grounded in biblical truth, committed to academic excellence, growing in the grace and character of Christ, and equipped to make a meaningful impact in the world—Grounded in Truth. Growing in Christ. Impacting the World. Because we believe in educating the whole child—mind, body, and soul—we also recognize that practical areas like student dress can contribute to a culture of respect, focus, and character.


The goal of the River Valley dress code is not simply to create clothing rules, but to support an environment where students present themselves with modesty, maturity, and consideration for others. Student attire should not distract from learning or draw attention in ways that compete with the values we want our community to reflect.


To help families clearly understand these expectations, we have created a River Valley Dress Code Lookbook, which is attached to this email. The lookbook provides visual examples and guidance for the dress standards that will take effect beginning in the Fall of 2026.
