Register today for Spring Semester classes. A 14-week Spring Semester starts January 22 and a 12-week session starts February 4.

Instant Decision Day

College students considering transferring to RVCC for the Spring Semester, recent high school graduates who are ready to start college, and adults who are thinking about returning to the classroom to prepare for a new career are invited to attend an Instant Decision Day on January 8. The event will be held in the College Center (Rooms C008, C010 and C022) at RVCC's Branchburg campus. Prospective students may attend anytime from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.

English & Spanish Information Sessions, Campus Tours

Learn about all RVCC has to offer by attending a General Information Session. In addition, a special session for adult students will be held in Spanish.

Honors College Information Session

Local high school seniors interested in learning more about RVCC's Honors College are invited to attend an Information Session, December 13, 6 p.m., in the Conference Center (Room B).

The evening will include information about admission to the Honors College and transfer opportunities after graduating from RVCC. Students in the top 20 percent of their high school class who possess a GPA of 3.5 or higher, or have a cumulative SAT score of 1100 or higher, are encouraged to attend.

RVCC's 50th Anniversary Celebration

In celebration of the College's 50th Anniversary, the RVCC Foundation hosted the Golden Harvest Gala at The Palace at Somerset Park. Close to 500 members of the community gathered together to celebrate RVCC's record of academic excellence, innovation, and unparalleled student success.

J&J Industry Experts Share Business Advice with Students

RVCC student Sebastian Galvez completed the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) cooperative education program and was hired by J&J full-time as a Capacity Management Business Analyst.

Hoping to share some of the experience he's gained at J&J, Galvez, in conjunction with the College's Business and Public Service Department, organized a panel of industry experts from Johnson & Johnson to speak with students at RVCC.

Engineering Students Offer Science Demonstrations at Duke Farms

Three RVCC Engineering majors helped make the night "glow" during Duke Farms' Annual CreatureFest. The students, members of the College's Authentic Engineering Experience "Duke Farms Team," brought hands-on science demonstrations to the estimated 2,000 visitors at the event.

Celebrating RVCC Success
Successful Product Rebranding  

RVCC Assistant Professor Darren McManus has successfully rebranded Ajiri Tea and Coffee, redesigning the company's visual identity and full-range of coffee and tea packages. Since completion, the company's sales, distribution and partnerships have all increased with Ajiri Tea and Coffee products now available in several hundred stores across the United States. Forbes recently named Ajiri's Coffee and Tea Gift Set as one of the nine best gift sets in the "tea and coffee" category for its 2018 Forbes Holiday Gift Guide.

New Book on Haitian Refugees  

A new book by a Dr. Carl Lindskoog, RVCC Assistant Professor of History, asserts that systems designed for Haitian refugees in the 1970s laid the groundwork for the way immigrants are treated in the United States. Dr. Lindskoog shares his expertise on the topic in Detain and Punish: Haitian Refugees and the Rise of the World's Largest Immigration Detention System (University Press of Florida).

Community College Spirit Award

The New Jersey Council of County Colleges presented the Community College Spirit Award to RVCC Director of Service Learning and Community Outreach Lori Moog on November 16 as part of the Vision 2028 Leadership Summit.

Moog directs RVCC's nationally recognized Service Learning Program.

Social Justice Award

Alaysha Walker, RVCC Assistant Director of Student Life, was presented with the 2018 Barbara McConnell Award for Social Justice during SAFE in Hunterdon's 40th anniversary celebration on November 4. The award honors an individual who exemplifies selfless giving to support survivors and raises awareness of domestic violence.
