Dear Friends,

RWF BEGINS 20th YEAR OF SERVICE
|
|
We are very proud of our accomplishments over the past two decades -- the lives that have been saved, the many communities that now have clean drinking water, the LGBTQ refugees that have been resettled and are now safe and thriving, the thousands of pounds of humanitarian aid and medical supplies that have helped thousands of people. These are just a few of the ways the RWF has made a positive and lasting impact in the world and has been an ambassador for LGBTQ compassion. We could not have done this without your
generous support.
We look forward to continuing this work in 2020.
|
|
Thank you for your continued support
, it allows us to accomplish
our three primary goals
- to provide humanitarian aid to communities in need; to increase awareness within the LGBTQ community of the need for these aid efforts; and to change how the world sees LGBTQ people by
demonstrating our compassion and caring for the world.
- Building a permanent shelter in Uganda for LGBTQ refugees fleeing danger
- Resettlement of LGBTQ refugees from Iraq and Syria
- Safe shelter for transgender women in Central America
- Support for HIV positive children and human rights in Cuba
- Humanitarian aid for child immigrants at the U.S.-Mexico border
- Aid for orphans and displaced children in many countries
- School tuition and supplies for children in Mexico and Uganda
- Humanitarian and medical aid following natural disasters

HOPE & SAINTHOOD AT THE CATHEDRAL
|
|
On December 10, we lit the 14th RWF World Tree of Hope at Grace Cathedral. We were honored to have many wonderful performance, speeches, and the participation of the Consul General of Japan Tomochika Uyama, Bishop Marc Andrus, and Dean Malcolm Young of Grace Cathedral.
RWF Founder Jeff Cotter was "Sainted" by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence as
Saint Cotter of the North Star, Illuminator of the Rainbow & Arborist of Hope
in a surprise ceremony in recognition of his humanitarian contributions and service to the LGBTQ community.
"
I was deeply honored to be Sainted by The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence whose devotion and decades of service promoting human rights is an inspiration to all of us."
- Jeff Cotter, RWF Founder & Director
