President's Message - Sue Davis

Wow! 2024 is behind us and a New Year has begun with the hope of a promising future. Yes, there is hope!

new-year-header5.jpg

Many were in a drought season with the struggling economy that stole jobs and destroyed dreams; the ravaged health of some from Fauci; and kids were indoctrinated to hate their country, change their gender and shoot their classmates. Our government is broken and refused to reform, and our world filled with unrest and the threat of war. It’s obvious we are living in an increasingly divisive and polarized church and society.

We watch with dismay as Biden’s “America last” team puts the crowning touches on the democrat maximum damage farewell days. The Jill Biden show is on the 3 week count down. A train of woke corporate executives are snaking (literally) into Mar-a-Lago to ingratiate themselves with the Trump team. It’s obvious we live in a time of great evil, and the wickedness of some is hard to fathom.

Many people are looking for hope in Donald J. Trump to revive America’s destiny. This has been spoken loud and clear! God saw the fallen earth and through His compassion we have been offered renewed hope and peace from His merciful heart. Springtime is already starting to bloom with a return to sanity and peace.

World leaders are once again feeling the full force of a POTUS that deals unapologetically from a position of strength.

The Panama Canal.

Greenland.

Canada.

This man is our voice. YOUR voice.

Donald J. Trump isn’t taking prisoners, never has, and is respected and feared because his tactics are effective.

General MacArthur was told it was forbidden to have his picture taken with The Emperor of Japan. Same mold of leadership as President Trump.

Yavapai County is blessed to have a solid Republican base. But you and I still have work to do.

The 2024 elections were a mixed bag. Patting ourselves on the back will get us only shoulder injuries. Lamenting over a democrat governor, AG and pair of liberal senators is a waste of time.  We must work closely with our legislators at all levels to provide education to our membership and become better trained political advocates. We must continue to coordinate and support the advancement of Republican values and the election of Republican candidates at the city, county, state and national levels.  And, we must encourage and support our youth in conservative values through education, fiscal support and mentoring.

Can I get a count of support from each of you? RWOP is not a lunch club. We are a proud Federated Republican Women’s organization with strength in numbers. WE CAN make a difference and WE DID make a difference in the elections! BUT, this requires membership involvement. RWOP is nothing without your participation. Bring a guest to our luncheon meetings, serve on one of the standing or special committees, and introduce yourselves to new neighbors or church members. 2025 RWOP objectives mean membership involvement, not filling seats.

I want to thank you for re-electing me as your 2025 President and share what it’s like serving as the Captain of an army of over 1,000. There’s been anguish, heartache, stress, anxiety, loneliness, long hours, and frustration. I learned to preserve and forgive, problem solve, gained maturity and wisdom; and developed stronger character in the ability to listen to the angry and upset with renewed patience. All the while, gaining a higher level of trust and faith in God through prayer, and His grace granting me peace. I’ve enjoyed helping others, election victories, new friendships, successful luncheon meetings and events, fun times and laughter, and the many blessings of support.

I pray for the Board of Directors and each of you for new strength, determination, endurance, great health, joy, peace and a strengthened faith in God.

Sue Davis

  • What subjects do you want to understand more completely?
  • Who would you like to hear speak?
  • What is on your mind and relevant to you?

We all have friends or family who have an interesting history, experiences, or knowledge that would benefit our community. Of course, RWOP speakers must be Republican.

A few topics under review: The issue of insurance cost increases and cancellations in our area, and the possibility of a debate on water issues in Yavapai County and AZ generally.

Charity of the Month

Visit our Website

Our charity of the month for January is the Yavapai Family Advocacy Center. This organization provides an array of services to people who are victims of child abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence and human trafficking. This includes both intervention and support services.

YFAC provides free legal, mental health and support group services. All individuals who qualify for and need services will receive them regardless of race, ethnicity, religious background and social economic status.

YFAC would be grateful for any monetary donations and is always looking for people to volunteer their time, whether it be for general facility maintenance, reception duties or overseeing children in the playgroup.

Please stop by the Caring for America booth at the luncheon next week and talk to a representative.
