THE TRUMPETER - September 2025

Newsletter Editor: Morgan Swift-RWOP VP Communications, contact@rwop.info

President's Message - Sue Davis

I’m so tired of politics. Raise your hand if you feel this way.

But just imagine for a millisecond, that you were a Kamala/Clintonite DNC advisor staring down the Trump train. Your favorite NGO’s have been defunded, millions clawed back, and corrupt leadership exposed. Your money machine, ActBlue, is under Congressional investigation, and colleges are shutting down their DEI programs faster than you can say “cancelled federal funding”. The lame stream media continues to lie to the American people, fed by the irreverent democrats.

Don’t believe the hyperbole? Let me quote this week’s democrat “Indivisible” newsletter view of President Trump

“The regime is tightening its grip on political power by occupying the largest cities led by opposition party members. This is a well-trodden path of Trump’s authoritarian predecessors and contemporaries. Mussolini, Hitler, Pinochet, Putin, and Erdoğan.”

Sadly, many of our democrat friends have been suffering from TDS for years, but this gives rise to study and possible cure opportunities.

Seriously, we have just 14 months to build an army of Arizona Republicans or cede control to the failed policies of the democrats.

Join the team, know your people and support them! Talk with them by phone or in person. Yavapai county is committed to overperforming as a check-balance to the democrat -controlled Maricopa County.

AZ LD-1 Representative: Quang Nguyen, Selina Bliss,

Matthew Tucciarone, and Shawn Del Wildman

The RWOP September luncheon meeting is going to be a full house. All four Prescott City Council candidates will be speaking for an interesting and lively forum-- and no, we’re not inviting the democrat guy what’s his name.

Disclaimer: RWOP does not endorse candidates in primary elections. We are providing the following information as a courtesy to our members.

Our next assignment is defeating the liberal Prescott City Council democrat at the polls. Beware, the local democrats are effectively “single shotting” this guy. He was 1,139 votes away from a 4-year seat.

I remember 1992 - watching the presidential election results on TV. Another weak Carter? Ross Perot split the vote and handed it to Clinton.

https://split-ticket.org/2023/04/01/examining-ross-perots-impact-on-the-1992-presidential-election/

Republicans in Prescott—every vote counts!

We have three (3) open council seats and four (4) Republicans running. Do we ask one to step aside? Of course not! Or… do we?

To maximize our chances of winning all three seats, just vote for any three of these candidates. It’s that simple—and it ensures we hold strong leadership on the council. Voting for only two, hands over a seat to the democrat.

Urgent Note!

We have until midnight tonight before ticket sales close. The funds we raise benefit Veterans and Scholarships, not the candidate.  Don’t delay!

In closing, let’s get real: frustration is real—and it’s everywherePolitics isn’t always fun and some of us are bone tired. But fatigue doesn’t have to mean giving up. Let’s keep speaking up together—because Prescott is worth it.

We’re not quitting. We may be tired, but every voice, every letter, every town meeting matters. This is a call to action to connect, support each other, and stay principled without burning out.

So, let’s focus our energy on where it counts right now—getting prepared for voting into office the 2026 City Council members.

After we roll up our sleeves and get through the November 5th election, let’s take a deep breath and look forward to the beauty of fall here in Prescott. As the weather cools, may we all take time to give God thanks for our many blessings, enjoy well-earned breathers, and spend time with family—at least the ones we like!

Let’s allow ourselves a joyful break from politics, recharge during the Thanksgiving and December holidays, and savor the season that reminds us what truly matters.

Because come January, we’ll be back—rejuvenated, refocused, and ready to take on the world the way Republican women do, with strength, grace, and determination.

Here's to finishing strong and starting fresh.

With sincere appreciation to the RWOP Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and every one of our incredible members—thank you. Your dedication, energy, and teamwork continue to inspire. You don’t just talk about getting things done—you make it happen.

Grateful to be in this with you all!

God Bless,

Sue

The Power of Prayer Under Attack

by Julie Harris - NFRW President

Wednesday's shooting at Minneapolis's Annunciation Catholic School was heartbreaking enough. Two children were killed while attending Mass. But what followed only compounded the anguish. Instead of coming together in grief, Democrat leaders immediately weaponized this tragedy to attack faith and push their political agenda. Rather than unite and search for real solutions, they chose division and blame.

Former White House Press Secretary and MSNBC host Jen Psaki declared, "Prayer is not freaking enough. Prayers does not end school shootings. Prayers do not make parents feel safe sending their kids to school. Prayer does not bring these kids back. Enough with the thoughts and prayers." California Governor Gavin Newsom also mocked, "These children were literally praying as they got shot at."

This cruel response isn't just tone-deaf, it's a heartless assault on grieving families and the millions of Americans whose faith sustains them through unimaginable loss. In moments of deepest sorrow, people of faith turn to the promise of Scripture: "The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit" (Psalm 34:18 KJV). When tragedy strikes, prayer doesn't replace action but rather empowers it.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was absolutely correct when she called these comments "incredibly insensitive and disrespectful to the tens of millions of Americans of faith across this country who believe in the power of prayer, who believe that prayer works." She understands the fundamental truth that Psaki and others missed: prayer and action work together, not against each other. Prayer empowers action; they go hand in hand.

The Democrat response reveals their true priority: exploiting tragedy to push gun control rather than addressing root causes. But facts tell a different story. FBI data shows that significant numbers of homicides are committed with non-firearm weapons, proving that those intent on violence will find ways regardless of restrictions.

The real tragedy here isn't gun availability but rather the mental health crisis we've failed to address. This shooter was a confused, mentally ill 23-year-old who had legally changed his name from Robert to Robin, reflecting deeper internal struggles. Rather than confronting this reality, Democrat leaders chose to attack the faithful while ignoring someone who desperately needed help.

Prayer has always sustained America through its darkest hours. Faith communities don't pray instead of serving; they pray while serving. Vice President JD Vance captured this perfectly: "We pray because our hearts are broken. We pray because we know God listens. We pray because we know that God works in mysterious ways, and can inspire us to further action."

Karoline Leavitt was right to defend the power of prayer. As she said, "It's utterly disrespectful to deride the power of prayer in this country." This isn't political; it's human decency.

Prayer and action aren't either-or propositions. You can pray while also working to keep children safe and implement preventative measures. Faith communities understand this balance, and it's this very balance that has made America a blessed nation.

In times like these, America needs leaders who understand that true strength comes from a spiritual foundation, not those who exploit tragedy to divide us further.

Caring For America - Nancy Grigas

Charity of the Month

Yavapai Big Brothers, Big Sisters was founded in 1971 to provide one-to-one mentoring

relationships for young people in Yavapai County. Since then, they have served more

grades, and graduate from high school.

There are different ways to be a “Big.” A Big Brother, Big Sister, Couple or Family, and a

“Little” spend a few hours a month together. A Big can also be school based. There they

can visit their Little at school once a week and join the Little for lunch or play and help
