B'nai Mitzvah: Nicholas and Hannah Small
January 15
It is with great joy and pride that Lisa and David Small announce the B’nai Mitzvah of their children, Nicholas Hayden Small and Hannah Elizabeth Small, on January 15, 2022. Nick and Hannah are 7th graders at Prairie Star Middle School. Nick enjoys playing baseball, hanging out with his friends, traveling, and working on NFT projects. Hannah enjoys hanging out with her friends, making Tik Tok videos, writing and traveling. Nick and Hannah have been active in various activities and camps at the Jewish Community Center and loved the summers they spent at Machane Jehudah! Last summer, both Nick and Hannah went to Camp Sabra, where they met amazing friends. Nick’s Mitzvah project is collecting food for Harvesters and Hannah’s is working with young children at their old elementary school.

This course follows the development of prayer, from the Tabernacle in the wilderness of Sinai, to the Temple in Jerusalem, to the Synagogue of today. The course will also explore some of the concepts behind prayer and blessings, as well as the power of meditation, as we link our past, present, and future, to the immediate and the transcendent. This is a journey of the soul—start today. Taught by Farrah Udell at the Jewish Community Campus, this 6-class MeltonKC series begins January 20, 2022. Click here for more information about this and other upcoming MeltonKC courses.
