Thank you to the wonderful volunteers, sponsors, and staff that produced this event!

Special thanks to the 18 million people who helped produce this event:

  • The folks at El Tour are awesome. We are grateful to TJ Juskiewicz for inviting Run Tucson to do the 5k with El Tour. Special thanks for operations leadership by Jessica Escobedo Davis, her dad Tim Escobedo, and her nephew Angel.

Thanks to:

  • AAA Arizona for handing out oranges and bananas and all the loud cheering and enthusiasm at the finish line -- special thanks to a few of the AAA folks for helping cheer runners around the finish line turn.

  • The youth fitness program GroGirlGro for handing out medals at the finish line! (Special appreciation to their founder, Jody Bartz, for letting me borrow her cool purple helmet -- I had left my bike helmet in the garage and she made sure I was safe out on the course...)

  • Clint and Angela at Starlight Deejays for everything -- music, arch raising, banner hanging, humor and more!

  • Noemi and Craig at the turn-around on the bike path.

  • Mandy and Joshlyn and Beth and Dave for sending runners, walkers, and bike riders in the correct directions, with such good cheer!

  • Dominica and the crew from Team Red White and Blue (pictured above) for helping set-up and managing the water station at the finish line.

  • Agata, Israel, Devesh and Kim for helping with set up, break down, and water stop management!

  • The students from the UA Society for Neuroscience for managing the 1.5 mile water stop.

  • El Grupo Youth Cycling for leading the Fun Ride on the course so safely

  • Mountain View High School and all the other volunteers for all the packet pickup volunteer help at the Expo.

John Ward was our go-to course manager -- John has been doing behind-the-scenes ops work at all of our Run Tucson races since Saguaro -- it's great to have him on board!

Tia Accetta was at a high school cross country meet in Phoenix on race day and couldn't make it, but she was instrumental in putting all this together -- special thanks to her for all the pre- and post-race support!

I'm sure others jumped in and helped, so if I'm missing anyone, please forgive me and let me know who I missed!
