We still have to return the water bottles and the garage is a mess, but we're wrapping up some of the final details, so here's a quick post-race report:
- Results, Awards, Souvenir Pickup Details, Fundraising, Photos
- Speedsters
- Thank you to volunteers
- Thank you to vendors, sponsors, and the City of Tucson
- Thank you to donors to race beneficiaries
- Thank you to you, with 10% discount code for up to 3 future Run Tucson events
If we missed anything or if you have any questions, please reach out.
Best wishes to all of you for a happy, healthy, and enjoyable summer!

WHERE CAN I FIND DAMION'S PHOTOS?
Event photos from SARS sponsor Damion will be posted soon and can be viewed here: https://thetucsonphotographer.smugmug.com/Sports/Running/RoadRunning/Meet-me-Downtown
A note from Damion: Thank you to everyone who came out and participated in this year’s TMC Meet Me Downtown Festival of Miles and 5K. It was wonderful to see so many happy, smiling people outdoors, active, and engaged in our community.
The Damion Alexander Team is proud not only to sponsor the event, but also to be out there capturing the memories along the way. Photography has become a hobby that brings me a lot of joy because it allows me to help build community through imagery and shared experiences.
While many people know me through the photos, my full-time career has been helping people buy and sell real estate here in the Old Pueblo for over 30 years. If you or someone you know has any real estate questions or needs, I’d always be happy to connect and help however I can.

COURSE RECORD FOR DYLLA!

The 2026 open mile winner is the former Pima Community College track coach and 800 meter specialist, Collin Dylla (pictured below).
Collin ran a blistering time of 4:06:39, a new course record. Collin's first half-mile was approximately 2:07, which means he ran the last half-mile down Sixth Avenue in about 1:59 -- in temperatures over 90 degrees!
Second place saw 21-year-old Terrence Keys, from Queen Creek and Flagstaff, AZ, sprint to the tape in 4:22, also one of the top times in the history of the event.
Third place saw 37-year-old Miles Dunbar cross the line in 4:26, one of his fastest times on the course.
First place masters runner for the men was Jose Delgado (42) of the Workout Group, in 4:36, 6 seconds faster than he ran last year.
On the women’s side, 26-year-old Stephanie Pierce continued her streak of impressive races with a winning time of 5:07, taking first place in the RRCA West Regional Championships.
Chasing were Workout Group teammates 39-year old Whitney Penny, finishing second in 5:23, while her teammate Nicole Pearce crossed the line in 5:47.
Nicole in her first TMC Meet Me Downtown race at age 40 also received the first-place Master's award with her effort.

Finley took second in the SAR FitKidz last year, and it is great to see her running success continue.
SAR Fitkidz Mile
Connor Edmondson (12) from Oro Valley took first place in the SAR FitKidz Mile, in 6:11.20, with Owen DeBlois-Mugmon (12) and Mathias Hendandez (11), in 2nd and 3rd.
In the girls, Hazel Latt (all of 8 years olf) crossed the line in 7:54, with Mia Scott (9) taking 2nd in 8:10 and Melanie Austad (8) crossing in third in 8:41.

HOKA High School champ Emilian Caldera displayed his range crossing the line in 16:07 for third.

Nicole Pearce cruised to the finish in 19:40, to take third overall and win the Master's Division title for the second time of the night.
Luke Senner was the first to cross the line in the Team Hoyt Wheelchair Duo, followed by Rylan McDaniel, Lucas King, Cooper Endacott, and Hannah Loughrey.

Running Shop 5k Awards: In the TMC 5k, the top three male and female in 5 year age groups 14-and-under through 80+ earn gift cards from The Running Shop and HOKA goodies. If you earned an age-group gift card, you can pick it up at The Running Shop (3055 North Campbell Ave) through the end of June.
A note on timing: The cash awards were based on so-called "gun-time," when the starter's pistol was fired and the race began. Age-group awards were based on so-called "chip-time," which is the elapsed time from when the athlete crosses the starting line to when they crossed the finish line.
Thanks to Roadrunner Race Timing for all the hard work managing the 2000+ registrations and finishers. You can email here with any corrections.

| | Thanks to our Downtown leadership: Downtown Tucson Partnership for all their work making Downtown a fun place to be -- and for helping with clean-up! Thanks to Rio Nuevo Improvement District for recognizing the value special events in the heart of our region. | | |
City of Tucson: Thanks to everyone at the City of Tucson who helped make this happen. You may not realize this, but it took the combined efforts of Parks and Recreation, Special Events, Tucson Police, Tucson Fire, Department of Transportation, Sun Trans, and more to help us with this run.
Arizona Party Rentals provided the staging and ped-rails, while Quail Construction provided the road closure materials and person-power. The UA was on hand to provide medical support. The folks at Armory Park Neighborhood Association rallied the neighborhood to support the event.
Thanks, too, to vendors, sponsors, and others who came out: Damion Alexander/Long Realty, Pueblo Vida, HOKA, The Running Shop, Raising Cane's, Andersen Renewal, ICCU, Natural Grocers, Padel Alley, Apex Windows & Doors, and our friends at El Tour de Tucson and the Empire Ranch Foundation.
We also enjoyed seeing the running community come out in force, including groups from SAR, Workout Group, Southwest Endurance Training, 520 Running and Riding, Fleet Feet, and more.
SAR's Running Shop Grand Prix: Check out updates at www.runsar.org for the 2026 Running Shop Grand Prix.
Beverages After the Race: Thanks to Skratch Labs.
Food Trucks: We hope you enjoyed the food truck roundup with local vendors Bugaloo's Ice Cream and Maui Wowi!
El Tour de Tucson: We at Run Tucson are thrilled to partner with El Tour de Tucson on the November 21st El Tour 5k, so we were delighted to have El Tour on hand.
| | Special thanks to Tim Bentley, in blue on the right with the microphone in this photo from last year. Tim is wearing a yellow hat in this photo, but in reality he wears many hats: for this race he represented the Road Runners Club of America as Arizona State Rep and Western Region Board Member -- and he represented Tucson Medical Center where he works -- and he was the race announcer all night! Thanks to Tim for all the help with this and many other Arizona running events | | Thank you for helping raise funds for local charities | | |
