Ready, Set, Race!

Pack 846 revved up the excitement with their BIGGEST Pinewood Derby yet, and what a weekend it was! With 47 Scouts racing some of the most creative—and fastest—cars they’ve ever seen, the Pinewood Derby has quickly become one of Pack 846’s favorite traditions.

The energy in the room was contagious, radiating not just from the Cub Scouts, but from leaders and parents, too, many of whom jumped into the fun as an enthusiastic race pit crew, even dressing the part! More than just a race, Pack 846 believes the Pinewood Derby is one of the most memorable activities, perfectly capturing the fun, creativity, and strong sense of community that Scouting fosters in today’s youth.

What has your pack been up to? We’d love to share your story!

Impact365: Serving Our Communities Every Day, All Year Long

We’re proud to join Scouting America’s national service initiative, Impact365—a bold, multi-year effort that celebrates what Scouting has always stood for: service isn’t just what we do, it’s who we are.

In honor of our nation’s 250th anniversary, every unit is encouraged to complete 250 hours of community service during 2026. Whether through council projects, rank requirements, family service, or simple everyday good turns, every hour counts—and every effort strengthens our communities.

Impact365 is intentionally flexible, allowing districts, units, and families to design service that fits their local needs and passions:

  • Plan and carry out meaningful service projects throughout the year
  • Invite families, alumni, and community partners to increase your impact
  • Log service hours in Scoutbook to help demonstrate Scouting’s collective impact

Why Impact365 matters: Service builds character, strengthens communities, and reflects the heart of Scouting. Through Impact365, we’re amplifying what Scouts already do best—help other people at all times and make the world a better place, one project, one hour, and one Scout at a time.
