Dear All,
This past week we just completed the move back to the renovated office space on the second floor! We’ll have more about the office move, new aspects of the office suite, etc. in the next newsletter.
In this issue of RadNews we have articles featuring community outreach (Residents Crushing Cancer and support for the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children), Radiology department participation at the UMass Chan Diversity Summit, numerous individual awards, letters of appreciation, and social events (Resident summer BBQ, RSNA dinner, NIR Caregiver Luncheon, and the University and Memorial Ice Cream Socials). Please make sure to check-out the updated Radiology Residency Video and congratulate Dan Mullen winning on his trip the Boston Garden.
Wishing everyone a wonderful, peaceful holiday season with time to enjoy your family and friends.
Thank you for all you do to make our department a wonderful place to work each day.
Sincerely,
Max

This holiday season the UMass Memorial Medical Center Radiology Department with the help of CT technologist Micah Levine and his wife Lisa we were able to impact the lives of 80 plus needy children in the local community. Trees with tags displaying the names of children and their desired holiday wishes were placed throughout the Radiology department on both the University and Memorial campuses. Staff had ten days to claim a tag or scan the QR code, purchase gifts and return to then be delivered to the MSPCC (Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children). In this short amount of time 80+ children were able to receive their desired holiday gift.
