Welcome to Sonora's 60th Anniversary Year!
Dear Raider Families, Students, Staff, and Community,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I am incredibly honored to serve as principal of what I call the world's greatest high school, Sonora High School, Home of the Raiders!
This year, we celebrate Sonora's 60th anniversary, a milestone that honors our tradition while inspiring us to build the next chapter of Raider excellence. I am excited about the opportunity to write the next chapter together.
Our campus came alive this week as we welcomed students and families for Orientation. A huge thank you goes to our incredible ASB for spearheading the setup and facilitating a smooth process. We could not do it without you. Another thank you to our Link Crew leaders, who welcomed our incoming freshmen through activities, campus tours, and relationship-building. They helped our newest Raiders understand something we want every student to know from day one: You belong here.
Celebrating Our Agriculture Program
Our students were already making Sonora proud before the school year even began! This summer, our Agriculture students represented Sonora at both the Chino and Orange County Fairs.
Our Raiders earned first, second, and third place in the pig show and also earned impressive placements in beef and goat competitions. Congratulations to our students, Agriculture teachers, and families for the countless hours of work, preparation, and dedication that went into these accomplishments!
A Fresh Look for Our Campus
Thanks to the district's investment in our school, our newly painted campus has a fresh new look, while construction on our new science labs continues.
What a perfect time for these improvements as we celebrate 60 years of Raider history while preparing our campus for the next generation of students.
What's Next?
We're just getting started!
Next up is our Fall Sports and the Welcome Dance, where students can come together, make connections, celebrate our fall athletes, and show their Raider pride.
As your principal, I believe that strong relationships are the foundation of student success. I want Sonora to be a school where students are known, supported, challenged, and proud to be Raiders, and where families know they are valued partners in their student's education.
I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to lead this school community, and I cannot wait to see what we accomplish together.
Here's to 60 years of Raider pride, and to an incredible year ahead!
Every Raider. Every Day. Every Moment.
