Dear Raider Families:
Last week, Sonora High School proudly celebrated one of its most meaningful traditions — the annual National Honor Society Induction Ceremony. The event recognized students who have exemplified the four pillars of NHS: scholarship, leadership, character, and, most importantly, service. This year’s ceremony was especially memorable, as 71 students were inducted, marking the largest class in recent years and a powerful testament to the spirit of excellence and commitment that defines Sonora.
The National Honor Society is more than an academic distinction — it is a call to serve others and give back to the community. Each new member has shown not only dedication in the classroom but also a deep sense of responsibility beyond it, contributing their time, talents, and compassion to make a positive difference. Their efforts embody the true heart of Sonora’s mission: nurturing scholars who are also leaders and changemakers in their communities.
This achievement would not be possible without the unwavering support and leadership of Mrs. Bawaney and Mr. Delange, whose guidance, encouragement, and dedication have been instrumental in shaping these students’ journeys. Their commitment to fostering both academic excellence and a passion for service has helped inspire this remarkable group to reach new heights and embrace the responsibilities that come with NHS membership.
As we celebrate this class, we look forward to seeing the impact they will continue to make — not only here at Sonora but throughout our community and beyond. Congratulations to all 71 inductees on this incredible milestone!
Let's have a great week, Raiders!
