Dear Sonora Community,

As we close out the month of May, Sonora High is buzzing with emotion, pride, and celebration. Last week marked a significant milestone for the Class of 2025 as they completed their final instructional week. It was a time filled with reflection and joy, culminating in two unforgettable moments that perfectly captured the spirit and unity of our senior class: the Senior Awards Ceremony and the Senior Sunset.

The Senior Awards Ceremony recognized the incredible achievements of our students—honoring their dedication, leadership, academic excellence, and contributions to the Raider community. It was a night of well-earned recognition and heartfelt applause, as families, staff, and friends came together to celebrate the journeys of these remarkable young people.

Senior Sunset was something even more personal. Without the pressure of assignments, deadlines, or looming exams, the Class of 2025 came together simply to enjoy each other’s company. They signed yearbooks, shared a meal, and soaked in the moment as the sun set on their time at Sonora. It was a quiet, powerful reminder of the friendships, memories, and growth that have defined the last four years.

This marks the beginning of a week of celebration that will lead us to the culminating event: Commencement on Thursday, May 29th at 6:00 PM. We are so proud of our seniors and all they’ve accomplished. The future is bright, and this next week is all about honoring the journey that brought them here.

Let’s go, Class of 2025—this is your time!

Go Raiders!

Principal, Sonora High School

Celebrating the Class of 2025! 🎓✨ Senior Awards Night was a memorable evening filled with pride, joy, and well-deserved recognition. From academic excellence to leadership, community service, and athletic achievements, our seniors were honored for their hard work and dedication. These moments capture the spirit of Sonora High and the incredible accomplishments of our graduating students. Congratulations, Raiders — the future is yours!

Baseball:

The Raiders season came to a close as they fall to a solid South Torrance squad in front of our home crowd. Despite a solid effort on the mound from pitcher Caleb Orr and opportunities to push runs across during the game, we were not able to overcome the steadiness of our opponent. It was an amazing season with a great team effort throughout. Special thank you to our Seniors who have contributed greatly to our tradition and building toward the future.
