Dear Sonora High School Families,
This week at Sonora High School, we had the incredible opportunity to host our Future Raiders during our annual Middle School Day, welcoming students from Washington, Imperial, and Rancho Starbuck Middle Schools. The energy on campus was electric as we shared the Sonora story, inviting these young scholars to envision how they can make our school their future home.
The day was much more than campus tours and program showcases—it was about building connections and planting the seeds of relationships that will grow throughout their high school journey. From our amazing student leaders to our dedicated program leads, every interaction was focused on creating a sense of belonging. We want every student to know that Sonora is a place where they can feel seen, valued, and supported.
At Sonora, we believe that every student brings unique gifts and talents to our community. Whether it’s in academics, athletics, the arts, or leadership, we are committed to helping students discover and develop their passions. Middle School Day was an exciting first step in showing these future Raiders the countless opportunities available to them to use their strengths and talents to build a future focused on success.
Watching our current students share their experiences and offer guidance to our visitors was truly inspiring. It’s a testament to the culture we strive to create every day—a culture of support, encouragement, and empowerment. We are proud to foster a school culture where every student has the tools and opportunities to thrive.
Thank you to everyone—staff, students, and families—who made Middle School Day such a success. Together, we are creating a legacy of excellence and opportunity that will continue to grow as these future Raiders take their first steps toward becoming part of our community.
With gratitude,
Steven A. Cazares
