Dear Raider Families,
Last Friday, Sonora was bursting with energy, music, and smiles as we hosted one of our favorite traditions — Facechella! This exciting event is all about creating moments of connection, celebration, and fun for our FACE students. Our campus came alive with music, delicious food, games, face painting, and endless opportunities for laughter and friendship.
This year, we were especially thrilled to welcome and host our friends from Troy High School, adding even more joy and spirit to the afternoon. It was inspiring to see students from both schools come together, building new friendships and celebrating in an environment where every student felt seen, valued, and included. Events like Facechella remind us of what it truly means to be part of a school community — fostering inclusivity and ensuring every student feels a strong sense of belonging.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our incredible FACE teachers and instructional aides, whose vision, dedication, and planning made this special day possible. We are also so grateful to our Best Buddies Club, who played a huge role in supporting the event and helping to create a welcoming, joyful atmosphere for everyone.
Facechella was more than just a day of fun — it was a powerful reflection of Sonora’s values in action. We are proud to be a campus where every student matters, every voice is heard, and every friendship is celebrated.
Thank you for being part of this amazing Raider community. Let’s keep working together to build a school culture where everyone feels they truly belong!
Go Raiders!
