A PLACE OF EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION

Professional Development

We had a great Professional Development last Tuesday. Thank you families for allowing us this time to learn and celebrate. We spent the morning hours learning more about where we have been, where we are, and where we are going by analyzing data. Then we ate lunch and recognized our employees with 20, 25, and 30 Years of Service. Thank you, Mr. Roach entertained us with his trivia game show. It was highly motivational and just what we needed after lunch. We also spent a portion of the day preparing for our Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) visit in the spring. This is part of the accreditation process of our school whereby visiting teachers and/or administrators visit the site to validate our programs and give us recommendations on how to continually improve. Sonora's WASC visit will start on February 28th. Thank you to everyone who has worked on our preparation for the visit. #beholdblueandgold

Door Decoration Contest

We had a great time with our door decoration contest once again this year. Our 4th-period classes did an amazing job. See some of the pictures above. The winner of the contest was the scariest door with Mrs. Viveros. Thank you to everyone who participated. #beholdblueandgold

Staff Costume Contest

The Halloween theme for our staff was Rock Bands. Please see a couple of the departments that tied for first place. The originality was great to see. There are so many more not pictured here. If you have any of those pictures, please do not hesitate to send them my way.

Sonora Welcomes

Washington and Imperial MS

Thank you ASB for Washington and Imperial Middle Schools for visiting us on Thursday. We were able to give them a small peek into what it is like to be a Sonora Raider. This kicks off our tour season. #beholdblueandgold

Thank you to our students and teachers who helped coordinate this event for our middle schools.

Prospective Students

It is the time of year that we open our doors to our prospective students.  Please share this information with any students who would like to make Sonora High School their new academic home. #beholdblueandgold

Thank-You Sonora Raiders

Thank you family for your support of the Sonora Raider Football program this season. We went to the first round of CIF playoffs on Friday night and we could not be more proud of the fortitude of our Raiders. We were down, but certainly not out, in the first half. Our team roared back from a 7 to 21 deficit to end the game 20 to 21. Thank you for coaching staff for giving our kids the skills that they needed not only on the field but in life. We did not let any barriers stop us from our achievements and I could not be happier that you did it our way. #ourway #sonorastrong

Thank you to everyone; band, cheer, drill, JROTC, announcer, scorekeeper, mayor, security, and last, but certainly not least our parents for making this season remarkable. We came together to make this a meaningful football season. My heart is full of gratitude. #ourway #sonorastrong #beholdblueandgold

Not sure which application is for you?
