CSX and Norfolk Southern will conduct railroad crossing repair work beginning at 8:00 AM Monday, March 20 that will result in detours on State Road 25. A map is provided below to see the exact location of the planned detours.
Gate 1 WILL remain open during these scheduled repairs.
From March 20 until March 24, motorists traveling on SR 25 will need to take the following detour route:
Northbound (traveling from Savannah towards Port Wentworth)
Traffic traveling northbound on S.R. 25 will detour 0.36 miles west on S.R. 21SP (Brampton Road) to S.R. 21. Traffic will travel 1.89 miles north to S.R. 307, then travel 1.04 miles east to S.R. 25 where the detour ends.
Southbound (traveling from Port Wentworth towards Savannah)
Traffic traveling southbound on S.R. 25 will detour at the intersection of S.R. 307. Traffic will travel 1.04 miles west on S.R. 307 to the intersection of S.R. 21. Traffic will travel 1.89 miles south to S.R. 21SP (Brampton Road), then 0.36 miles east to S.R. 25 where detour ends.
From March 27 until March 31, motorists traveling on SR 25 will need to take the following detour route:
Northbound (traveling from Savannah towards Port Wentworth)
Traffic traveling northbound on S.R. 25 will detour 0.36 miles west on S.R. 21SP (Brampton Road) to S.R. 21. Traffic will travel 1.89 miles north to S.R. 307, then travel 1.04 miles east to S.R. 25 where the detour ends.
Southbound (traveling from Port Wentworth towards Savannah)
