The weather forecast shows a lot of rain for the next 5 days in Seaside and Marina. To conserve water, the Marina Coast Water District asks you to please turn off your irrigation system when it rains.
Is your rain shut off switch properly programmed to activate during a rain event? If not, simply turn off the irrigation system manually to be sure it does not water your lawn or garden during the rainy days.
It is unlikely irrigation will be required for at least several weeks.
Additionally, many plants are suffering and in decline because of saturated soils. Without aeration of the soil, water molds will thrive and eventually cause plant death. For questions about proper irrigation programming, you may call our Water Conservation department at (831) 883-5905.
