November 2nd, 2018
IT'S FRIDAY!
As the calendar flips over to November, it is now safe to start talking about setting up planters for spring! We are excited about our line up of new products for the Spring of 2019! From dual placement fertilizer from 360 Yield Center to the new Knife system from Yetter Mfg. and the new ACCR row cleaner from Martin. Now is the time to reflect on the 2018 season and react to improve for 2019! Hopefully there are not too many acres for you guys to harvest yet this fall. on the bright side Trumps first round of Trade Aid is available now and the second round will be available in January of 2019. That makes a total of $1.65 in aide, certainly nothing to sneeze at, but long term lets make the deal with China. Enough of that, Have a great Weekend!

As harvest winds down, take time to reflect on what worked this year and what did not. Many guys are keeping their current planter and are looking to just improve what they have. We have found that Poly Spike Closing wheels can make a huge impact of what the end yield result is. Increased emergence, faster emergence, and more uniform emergence. The secret to the poly spikes is how they fracture the side wall compaction, press soil onto the seed, and lock in moisture. If you are looking to increase yield and stack the deck in your favor, get Poly Spike Closing Wheels for 2019!

Cassie's Country Cupboard Weekly Recipe:
Percolator Punch
As the air cools, a hot drink is always welcome! Our Yetter friends shared this recipe, and Gary and Angie made it for us here at the shop last week for a wonderful treat.

Ingredients:

1 ¾ c. water
6 c. apple juice
2 c. cranberry juice
1 T. whole cloves
3 whole cinnamon sticks
½ c. light brown sugar (or to taste)

Directions:

Pour liquids into well-cleaned percolator. Place spices and brown sugar in percolator basket. Cover and begin the perking cycle. When cycle is complete, remove the basket and leave punch in the pot to keep warm. Enjoy!

Salford Tillage- Try the new 5" spacing tillage tools this fall, we also have in stock a 5 shank in line ripper!
360 Yield Center- The Bullet Points are really digging deep in the tillage world. Break apart the columns left by factory points, get the most out of the tillage pass and minimize compaction. The Yield Savers capture the header loss that can add up to 5 bushels! We are seeing a lot of green fields this fall, don't leave money laying in your field!
Yetter- The Yetter Devastator does a great job of saving tires, managing residue and facilitating breakdown!
