Happy New Year!
The CBSG Program is conducted throughout the United States and in several foreign countries. Depending on which part of the world you live in, some of you may be very familiar with snow, while others may experience snowfalls very little, if at all. Regardless, we can all appreciate the beauty of a fresh blanket of snow and how it seems to cover some of the bleakness of January.
Whether we have seen a snowflake up-close and personal or not, science explains that each one has its own unique look and characteristics. Snowflakes are like us and the children and youth we serve, each one is special. As human beings we have similarities, but still, we are each unique. Even studies of identical twins have shown they possess different personalities despite looking exactly alike.
We hope you enjoy the attached Snowflake Activity with your group participants or in classrooms. Regardless of age, making snowflakes is a fun activity from which we can all learn how unique and special we all are!
Gratefully,
The Rainbow Days Training Team
