Rainbow Days Training
Connects
New and Improved Evaluation Tools
In the early 1980’s, after implementing the first few cycles of the CBSG® Program, (known then as Kid’s Connection), people began to ask me, “How do you know what you are doing akes any difference in kids’ lives?” My response was something along these lines, “by the smiles on their faces,” or “their parents tell me they are getting along with others better, their grades have improved, they are handling their anger more appropriately…”

While these anecdotal accounts were true, they were insufficient to meet the growing need and demand for ATOD prevention programming and social and emotional learning opportunities. Increasingly, evidence of program effectiveness was required. Rainbow Days responded with a series of rigorous evaluation studies of the CBSG® Program resulting in its recognition as an effective, evidence-based program

However, we didn’t stop our commitment to continuous improvement and excellence once receiving this recognition. Over the years we have offered various evaluation tools and we are excited to offer two new resources developed in partnership with Jaymie Vandagriff, PhD Prevention Science: Washington State University.

As always, we welcome your feedback and questions. And, if you are so inclined, we would appreciate you sharing your results with us! (catheyb@rainbowdaystraining.org)

With gratitude for you and the difference you are making,

Kathy is one of those rare individuals who has the knowledge, skills, and caring heart to equip and empower trainees to be the best they can be.

Because of Kathy’s professionalism, commitment to excellence, and focus on leaving the world better than she found it, thousands of kids, schools, families, and communities have been positively impacted.
