Exhibitions

"My paintings have a personal connection with my soul. Through art and through music combined, they give an explosion of ideas filled with luminosity and colors. My work embraces the act of transforming a flat blank surface and coaxing out the voice that can be heard through the marriage of colors and form. Brushstrokes dance around the canvas to tell a story; the careful combination of color from my palette; the messages of contemplation, surrender, and understanding. Each work has its own story to tell."

- Henri Meillier

Gallery Hours:

12:00 - 4:00 pm on Saturday

Cheryl Patton Wu makes abstracted land, sea, and sky-scapes in fabric collage. The assembled fabric shapes, embellished and enhanced with machine stitch and hand embroidery, play with the material’s color, texture, and pattern, creating a finished piece evocative of a painting. These fabric paintings tell the story of her journey in the world, physical as well as emotional - where she’s been, what she’s seen, and where she’s at.

Bea Stenta is a Collage/Mix-Media artist known for her Cold Wax and oil paint creations on repurposed paper. She combines charcoal, textured paper, and acrylics, while incorporating cold wax and oil paints for a unique texture. Inspired by her ocean view and current events, Beatrice's art is a blend of memories and the present. Her work has been displayed at prestigious venues like Newark Museum and Bristol Museum, as well as in online shows during the pandemic.

Michael Terenik, born to Russian immigrants in 1966, found his artistic

passion early, guided by his father's creative spirit. From Barn Studio to

Hussian School of Art, he mastered techniques. San Francisco saw him as an art dealer, then New Jersey witnessed his mural prowess. In '96, Avalon Sign & Design bloomed, crafting 3D signs for shore towns. Shifting from ads, he embraced fine arts, co-founding Cape May Artists Cooperative Gallery, winning acclaim in regional galleries. Now curating at Jessie Creek Winery, he spotlights local NJ artists in diverse mediums.

See "Ground: The Here and Where of Being", "Movement-Texture-Spirit" and "Somewhere in South Jersey" at the Perkins location in Collingswood from Sept 6 - Oct 27.
