There's a brand-new restaurant in a familiar location downtown, run by the Restauranteur duo behind Group Therapy in Columbia. Prime Restaurant and Whiskey Lounge opened late July in the former Peddler Steakhouse building, (464 East Main St #9,) serving a full bar and menu 3pm-2pm, seven days a week.

Nothing says, "summer fun," quite like exploring the great outdoors! There's one week left to take PAL Spartanburg's Dan Trail Summer Challenge- travel each trail by August 12th, roughly 20-miles total. If the allure of exercise isn't exciting enough, PAL is giving away a grand prize basket of local goods and giftcards.

Join the Carolina Panthers for a FREE Training Camp practice at Wofford College TODAY. This year's camp includes 12 total practices and the return of the camp's traditional post-practice autographs with players and staff.

From sunup to sundown this Saturday, August 6th, the City of Woodruff and Team Heart & Soul will be partying in McKinney Park, (East Pine Street.) Beginning at 8am, race your way through a 5K/10K, then browse local vendors' wares and kid-friendly activities in the park. Amusement rides will be open from 9am-5pm. Then enjoy live music with The Dave Edwards Band, Black Bottom Biscuits, and The Cleverlys, 3pm-9pm.

Join the Spartanburg Period Project for a Back to School Bash packing party this Sunday, August 7th, 2pm-4pm at Cleveland Park, (141 North Cleveland Park Dr.) Packs will be distributed to students in need at 50+ schools across Spartanburg County; donations of individually-wrapped pads and liners are requested.
