Joe Sam's Notes
It's great to be a freshman for the fourth time! I have attended many training sessions, with staff from the General Assembly and with some of North Carolina's best and brightest advocacy groups here in Raleigh. We have a fantastic freshman class this year, and we are excited to get the ball rolling.

Thank you for trusting me to represent you. As your Representative, I will work for ALL of the people of Haywood, Jackson, and Swain counties.

We need a real vision f or the mountains , a vision that includes quality public education, better healthcare, and universal high-speed broadband for everyone, everywhere, for everything.

This is a vision that will create better jobs and a brighter future here in our mountains.

We must expand broadband to ensure ALL people can realize their full potential with the technology of the 21st century.

We need to accept our federal Medicaid coverage that we are already paying for so that 15,000 low wage workers here in Haywood, Jackson and Swain counties can access the healthcare they need and deserve.

And, we must adequately support our public school system , from early childhood through the universities so they can provide high quality education for our children.

As your legislator, I will work toward these goals, and I am excited to work for the people of Haywood, Jackson and Swain counties for the 2019-2020 session!

Thank you,
Please share this with your friends!
